Elizabeth Gerbel

CEO and Founder

Elizabeth serves as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EAG 1Source and EAG Services. She is responsible for the company’s strategic leadership and vision, and provides guidance, direction and expertise to clients and team members. Elizabeth has 20 years of deep oil and gas industry experience and has personally advised startups to Fortune 500 companies to everything in between.

Under Elizabeth’s direction, both EAG companies have become synonymous with ‘trust’ in the oil and gas industry. Elizabeth’s passion for the industry, dedication to her clients’ success, and commitment to growing her company to best serve customers is recognized both internally and externally. Her organization has been touted multiple times as a top-tier work environment for professionals and has earned the Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces in Consulting for 2019 as well as Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces across all industries nationwide.

Prior to founding EAG, she was a partner at McKinley Powell, LLC, a manager with PWC, and began her career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture). Elizabeth earned an MBA from the McCombs School at UT Austin in 2001 and a BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University in 1994.

Lindsey Mersman

Chief Revenue Officer

Lindsey Mersman, Vice President of Business Development at EAG Services and EAG 1Source, has been with the company since 2013. In the past three years, Lindsey has tripled the EAG footprint and client base through her leadership. Prior to this role, Lindsey played an integral part of the EAG consulting delivery team, leading large-scale training, system implementation and change management efforts for the industry’s top producers. As a result of her on-the-ground experience, Lindsey utilizes her industry and consulting expertise to better understand the challenges clients face and to deliver optimal business solutions.

Lindsey enjoys staying up to date with the Oil & Gas industry and technology changes to provide clients with offerings that meet today’s trends. On the personal front, Lindsey enjoys traveling abroad, good food and great red wine! She graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she earned two Bachelor of Science degrees.

Lindsey Mersman, Vice President of Business Development at EAG Services and EAG 1Source, has been with the company since 2013. In the past five years, Lindsey has tripled the EAG footprint and client base through her leadership. Prior to this role, Lindsey played an integral part of the EAG consulting delivery team, leading large-scale training, system implementation and change management efforts for the industry’s top producers. As a result of her on-the-ground experience, Lindsey utilizes her industry and consulting expertise to better understand the challenges clients face and to deliver optimal business solutions.

Lindsey enjoys staying up to date with the Oil & Gas industry and technology changes to provide clients with offerings that meet today’s trends Additionally, she enjoys building long standing client and vendor partnerships. Lindsey is dedicated to understanding the challenges our clients face and collaborating with them to determine suitable process and technology solutions to solve those issues.

Prior to joining EAG Services, Lindsey spent six years in sales and customer service, responsible for project design, contract negotiations, budgeting, implementation, and profitability. Effective communication with diverse personalities and learning styles is one of her key strengths.

When not networking and engaging with clients, Lindsey enjoys exploring Houston with her dog or jet setting across US and International hot spots. She loves to travel. Her ideal trip is wandering through a new city experiencing all the food, architecture, and entertainment the location offers. Lindsey graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where she earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Hotel & Restaurant Administration. Lindsey was also recently honored as a recipient of the 2020 Great Place to Work For All Leadership Award.

Jeff Hutchens

Chief Information Officer

Jeff Hutchens is the Chief Information’s Officer (CIO) at EAG Services + EAG 1Source who joined EAG in 2019. Jeff drives the overall IT vision for EAG’s IT Outsourcing business line, leveraging technology and innovation to streamline infrastructure.

Jeff is well-versed in all IT functions with a focus on strategy, acquisitions and divestitures, project and portfolio management, contract negotiations, master data management, integration and reporting, and enterprise software implementations. He has led multiple software, service and infrastructure evaluations and managed the associated implementations. Through Jeff’s leadership and vision, he has recruited and developed multi-faceted teams, leveraged technology to develop a competitive advantage for his clients and incorporated automation to reduce organizational G&A costs.  

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Colorado, and Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.

Jeff is a tenured IT leader who brings 28+ years of experience in High-Tech and Oil & Gas industries, Energy, Technology, Government (US Army), and Manufacturing. He has a demonstrated ability in supporting systems and delivering complex multi-phased projects over geographically dispersed companies.

Prior to EAG, Jeff held various senior leadership positions in the Oil & Gas industry working at EnCana/Ovintiv, Antero Resources, and EQT. He led 15+ asset integration and divestiture projects and served in a Program Manager role for an IT integration which created the largest natural gas producer and 4th largest gathering system in the United States. Jeff has maintained accountability for IT budgets ranging from $10MM to $60MM per annum.

Jeff is focused on providing executive advisory services for numerous EAG upstream and midstream clients and has served as Chief Information Officer and Acquisition Program Lead for several clients including small G&A startups and Fortune 500 companies in both part-time and full-time capacities. He is also accountable for the Information Technology Outsourcing and Consulting Practice at EAG with a focus on IT Due Diligence, Acquisition and Divestitures, Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, and Security.

Jeff enjoys camping, skiing, and traveling with his family. He also enjoys getting involved with his children’s activities and is a Boy Scout leader and youth wrestling coach.

Keri Johnson

Chief Accounting Officer

Keri Johnson is the Chief Accounting Officer at EAG Services + EAG 1Source and has 15+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience in the oil and gas industry. She has extensive experience with setting up and improving accounting processes, SOX controls, SOC controls, SEC reporting, Topic 606 revenue recognition, bankruptcy and fresh start accounting, ERP system conversions, and more. 

Keri is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Central Arkansas.

Keri began her career in the oil and gas industry in 2006 at Southwestern Energy. Since then, she has held positions of increasing responsibility within the accounting and financial reporting groups at multiple companies within the energy industry. Keri has been responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of five public companies and six private equity companies. Immediately prior to joining EAG, Keri spent almost five years at EnerVest, Ltd, where she served as the Controller of a private entity, and as the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting for multiple private and public entities.

As Chief Accounting Officer, Keri is focused not only on overseeing the accounting operations of EAG, but also on ensuring the highest level of accounting services for EAG’s clients. She is responsible for accounting, financial analysis, reporting, accounting policy, and internal controls both internally and for EAG’s Business Process Outsourcing clients. Her team provides outstanding services and expertise in all areas of oil and gas accounting including revenue, joint interest billing, accounts payable and general accounting.

Keri enjoys spending time with family, especially her husband and two amazing daughters. Keri attends Bay Area Church in League City where she serves in the children’s ministry. She also enjoys reading, camping, hiking, and traveling the world to places both near and far.

Dave Supp

Chief Digital Officer

Dave Supp joined the 1Source Leadership team to provide our clients with IT Strategy, Innovation and Optimization. Dave has a passion for finding ways to introduce the right technology at the right time to solve the complex problems Oil and Gas Companies face. He serves as the CDO and Key IT strategist for many of 1Source’s clients and is always thinking about how to minimize spend while maximizing outcomes.
Dave is an accomplished IT professional in the Oil & Gas industry. He has held various management consulting and leadership positions in Oil & Gas over the past 12 years with focus on IT Strategy Development and System Integration Projects.

Prior to joining EAG, Dave worked at EQT Corporation, a leading Appalachian E&P company. As the Director Midstream & Production IT, he was responsible for implementation and support of technologies including EAM, GIS, SCADA, measurement, and field mobile computing systems. Additionally, he led several Innovation Projects for the organization focusing on leveraging technology to streamline manual and inefficient processes.

Before EQT Corporation, Dave was the Director of IT for CNX Gas assisting the organization with the technology transformation from a Coal to Oil and Gas Operator. Dave got his start within Deloitte’s Oil & Gas practice where he assisted supermajor and independent clients with ERP implementations and post-merger integration.

Dave was an All-American distance runner for Carnegie Mellon, and he’s currently taking advantage of the lockdown to share his love of running and competition with his son. He also enjoys wakeboard tow rope, unless the water is too cold, in which case he prefers to drive the boat.

Ahmed Taher

Vice President, Digital Services

Ahmed Taher is the Vice President of Digital Services for EAG Services + EAG 1Source. He has been a part of EAG since 2008, and during his tenure Ahmed has led 40+ successful client engagements which included major System Implementations, Acquisitions & Divestitures, Automation & Strategy Assessments, and Applications Management across E&P companies of various sizes and business models. 

Ahmed stays current with industry and technology trends, and actively builds relationships with EAG’s network of clients and business partners. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Houston, with a minor in International Relations. Ahmed is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and an ITIL4 certified professional.

Ahmed started his career in the oil and gas industry working for Apache Corporation as a Land Analyst. He contributed to a high-profile project which involved the integration of assets the Haynesville Shale play. Prior to joining EAG, Ahmed held a Land Systems Consultant role for P2 Energy Solutions (P2ES) where he helped build and implement P2’s Land Management solution (Tobin Enterprise Land / P2 Land).

As the Vice President of Digital Services, Ahmed leads a growing team of technology and industry specialists whose primary mission is to help clients operate their systems and processes efficiently, improve user experience, and reduce costs. The Digital Services team is able to achieve that by employing its vast knowledge across a wide array of areas such as Applications Management and Support, Modern Data Reporting, Business Analytics, and Business Process Automation. Ahmed’s team supports 30+ clients with 7+ applications and have the ability to create innovative solutions and deploy fixes around data, software errors, configurations, application security, reporting, and integrations. 

Outside of work, Ahmed enjoys traveling domestically and internationally and is an avid jetsetter. Additionally, Ahmed enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and photography. He also has a deep appreciation for the arts and likes to experience other cultures and cuisines.

Scott Hakel

Vice President of Land

In July 2014, Scott joined New Gulf Resources, LLC with over 14 years of oil and gas industry experience in multiple disciplines including Acquisition and Divestiture Transactions, Due Diligence, Accounting, Lease Records, Division Orders and Land. Scott was most recently employed by WPX Energy, Inc. as Land Team Lead - New Ventures/Mississippi Lime.

He has performed land functions in some of the most active oil and gas basins in the U.S. including the Permian Basin, Marcellus Shale, Mississippi Lime and Haynesville Shale in Texas, Pennsylvania, Kansas and Louisiana and other oil and gas fields in Arkansas, Colorado, Oklahoma.  

Previously, Scott has been employed by The Williams Companies, Sheridan Production Company, EXCO Resources Mid-Continent, Questar Exploration and Production Company, Frontier Land Inc., Newfield Exploration Mid-Continent and Lariat Petroleum, Inc.  

Scott graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration/Pre-Law. He is an active member of American Association of Professional Landman (AAPL) and is a Certified Professional Landman.
