What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

If you are hired, hold on! You won’t know what hit you the first week, but take a deep breath and it’ll start making sense…

What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

BP understands the days of the hydrocarbon industry are limited are they moving away from oil to renewable sources of energy.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

Exploring and having fun in the mountains and Colorado Plateau.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I have an M.S. in Structural Geology

How do you balance your career and family?

My kids are out of the house so I don’t have to balance too much any more, but would recommend setting personal limits and sticking to them as much as possible.  You’ve heard it all before – there will always be more work to do but you’ll never get the time back that you should have spent with your family.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My mom.  She was both a CEO of a large United Way organization and a leader of a lot of important volunteer work locally and nationally. She still managed to be an involved parent and a great, warm-hearted person and role model.  I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t recall something she did or said that I still manage to learn from.

Your life motto

Do what you believe is right and you’ll never have to give it a second thought.

What’s your superpower?

Career-wise, I’ve been pretty successful managing projects and programs.  In life, I’d say its finding a way to have fun and find cool things no matter where I am.
