Our EAG 1Source January Spotlight is Renetta Swan! Renetta Swan is an Accounts Payable Clerk with 10+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Customer Service, Vendor Maintenance, and AP Check Run processing. She is well-versed in key industry software, including OpenInvoice, P2 BOLO, Quorum (OGsys), SAP, Citrix, DocVue, and more.

She has spent most of her career in the upstream oil and gas industry, where she was responsible for processing invoices and managing AP and vendor inquiries. Renetta’s attention to detail, combined with her deep knowledge of oil and gas Accounts Payable processes has made her a dependable and valuable member of the team. How would you describe EAG?

EAG is a dynamic company that is challenging and demanding, but is also very flexible, understanding, and rewarding.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?

One of my proudest moments at EAG has been finding my flow to handling multiple clients and ensuring they are satisfied with my services.

What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?

Be open and flexible to work as a team player.  Don’t be afraid to share your ideas for creating efficiencies.

What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?

Over the Christmas holidays, I learned how to cook Caribbean Jerk Chicken.

What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?

Spend time with my family in Port Arthur, TX.  For a quick weekend getaway, New Orleans is always fun.  However, I really love spending time in the Caribbean.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.

I am extremely shy; however, when I get to know you, I really open up.

How do you balance your career and family?

Being single, I can truly focus and dedicate my time to taking care of my daily work duties, and then focus on my own personal/family time.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My mother and grandmother inspire me.  They both worked hard to raise their children and taught us that family is first, loyalty and respect are everything, and to never give up on ourselves.

Your life motto?

“Life is what you make it.”  Life is a result of choices that you make, if there’s something you don’t like, it is time to make better choices.

What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)

My superpower is caring for others. My family and friends know they can depend on me and trust I’m there for them no matter what the situation may be.
