What are 3 words you would use to describe EAG?
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
One of my proudest moments has been being recognized for my ability to translate business needs from clients into well designed and well thought out reports. I love being able to bring data together to answer complex questions easily.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
Be humble but confident. There are so many strong, competent, and knowledgeable people at EAG. Being a part of the team here means that you have something that you can offer – skills or knowledge wise – to everyone. And, in turn, everyone else has things they can share and help you learn.
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
Blueberry bushes require a very low pH to properly intake nutrients from soil. Iron, sulfur, or peat moss can be amended to your soil or a white vinegar solution can be used to gradually increase acidity.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
What free time I have is usually spent working on my giant costumes or out in my garden. My husband and I enjoy traveling to new places, time permitting, but have not had the chance since Covid.
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I have a fraternal twin sister. We went to college together, were roommates, shared a car until we were 20, and, after college, ended up working in buildings right next to each other for 7 years. She also lives about 15 minutes down the road.
How do you balance your career and family?
My husband and I both have work from home jobs. We try to have lunch together during the week when our schedules permit. On top of that, I do my best to log off by 4:30 everyday. I go out and check my new blueberry or raspberry bushes to decompress before picking up our small human from school. This way I can put the stress of the day behind me and be fully present for my family.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My artistic friends truly inspire me. Seeing someone take a concept like futuristic space travelers mixed with scuba divers and turn that into evocative textile, 3D modeled, or photographic art is amazing. Making something out of nothing will always be inspirational to me.
Your life motto
Passion gets you started; perseverance gets you across the finish line.
What’s your superpower?
I am really good at translating abstract ideas and items into the physical realm. I can take an idea or image on a screen and bring it to life – either through sewing, foam fabrication, or more advanced mediums.
