How would you describe EAG?
EAG has a vision including growth, but that is just the beginning– it’s challenging, engaging, flexible, supportive, and innovative.
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at EAG?
My proudest moment has been being welcomed to be a part of a great company, engaging with supportive colleagues, and being involved with introducing innovation and delivering success to our clients.
What advice do you have for prospective candidates that want to join EAG?
EAG believes in promoting from within, and the people here are passionate, dependable, and hardworking. My advice for prospective candidates is to stay flexible and strive to grow with the company. If you do great work, your career will grow!
What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last month?
Personally, I’ve learned that when the stock market is doing great for 3+ days and you are ahead, it’s a good idea to sell.
What do you like to do in your free time? Any favorite places you like to visit?
My free time is spent with my two children, parents, two doggies, and visiting other family/friends. I also enjoy going to movies, eating out, home projects, and traveling. I don’t have any one favorite place to visit, but I really enjoyed the Bahamas and NYC!
Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
I was once employed as a United States Postal carrier. I had no idea what I got myself into, and I must say it was the hardest job I have ever held. The job required going door to door on foot in one of the roughest areas of Houston.
How do you balance your career and family?
I block off time in the evenings and weekends to spend with my family. Daily, I dedicate the right balance of time towards my career and then plan time with my family.
Who or what inspires you and why?
My mother inspires me. I grew up in a single parent home, and my mother always worked hard to provide for her children and strived for more in life. When I was in my early teens, she worked two jobs while simultaneously attending school so that we could move into a better neighborhood and attend better schools.
Your life motto?
My life motto is “If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it”. Enjoy the little things in life and live. Everyday is a Gift.
What’s your superpower? (What are you confident in knowing that you’re good at)
My superpower is believing in myself and not being afraid of failure; never settling.
